HP rolls out Omni 100, TouchSmart 310 all-in-one desktops; 20" HD widescreens

Hewlett-Packard is introducing a pair of new all-in-one desktops to us today. Say hello to the Omni 100 and the TouchSmart 310, both of which boast 20-inch HD widescreen displays.
The similarities don’t stop there as both of these new HP desktop computers also have:

• Windows 7 Home Premium
• ATI Radeon HD 4270 integrated graphics
• AMD M880G chipset
• Up to 8GB of DDR3 SDRAM memory
• SuperMulti DVD burner
• 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi
• 6-in-1 card reader
• Built-in webcam and microphone

Both of these computers are really intended to be entertainment machines, and it seems more attention was paid to the exterior design above anything else. The specs are good, but not terribly above average, and the prices reflect that. Yet the TouchSmart 310 does step things up a bit. Here’s where the two all-in-one computers differ:

Omni 100

• AMD Athlon II 260u 1.80GHz dual-core processor
• 500GB 7200RPM SATA hard drive
• Connectivity: Six USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, Audio Line-out, Headphones, Microphone

TouchSmart 310

• 20-inch multi-touch HD widescreen display
• AMD Athlon II 240e 2.80GHz dual-core processor
• 1TB 7200RPM SATA hard drive
• Bluetooth
• Built-in HDTV tuner
• Connectivity: Six USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, Audio Line-out, Headphones, Microphone, IR blaster jack (optional), RF input (optional)

Both computers will first go on sale at HPDirect.com on September 22, with a full roll-out planned for October 24. The Omni 100 will retail for $499.99, while the TouchSmart 310 will cost $699.99.

 My opinion:

it's a good step from HP to win the endless tech race , it may be a step to change the usual style and structure of our PC........but it's not a real revolution because usual PC remains the best.
