HP unveils stylish TouchSmart tm2 convertible tablet


Hewlett-Packard has another convertible tablet almost ready for us, and the TouchSmart tm2 definitely brings a touch of flair and style.
 
HP has implemented its updated TouchSmart Mobile 2.0 software with the intention of making the touchscreen more like a digital “canvas.” The battery life is rather average, if not a bit below average at this point, with a possible maximum of six hours and 30 minutes.
Let’s take a look inside the embellished aluminum chassis of the TouchSmart tm2:
  • 12.1-inch diagonal LED BrightView touchscreen display (1,280 x 800 resolution)
  • Intel Core i3-380UM 1.33GHz processor
  • AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5450 switchable graphics
  • 500GB 7200RPM SATA hard drive
  • Up to 8GB of DDR3 memory
  • 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi
  • 5-in-1 integrated card reader
  • Dolby Advanced Audio with Altec Lansing speakers
  • Built-in webcam and integrated microphone
  • Full-size keyboard
  • Comes with a stylus
  • Integrated fingerprint reader
  • Connectivity: Three USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, Headphone/Microphone combo jack
The TouchSmart tm2 will retail for $829.99 when it goes on sale on October 27.
