HP unveils 'affordable' notebook PCs

MANILA, Philippines - Technology company 

HP recently launched 2 consumer notebook personal computers (PCs) that promise to satisfy even the country's most discerning users.
The HP Mini 210 and the HP G42, both priced $324 & $579 , deliver "breakthrough technology, power and advanced styling" to meet Filipinos' daily needs, said Albert Mateo, country general manager for personal systems at HP Philippines.
"With these new technology and design enhancements, we offer customers a better computing and entertainment experience," Mateo said.
The HP Mini 210 targets consumers who use the PC for long periods, the company said. It provides up to 10.75 hours of battery life and has a built-in WLAN, webcam, microphone and nearly full-sized, island-style keyboard.
The HP G42, meanwhile, is said to be ideal for those who "want a productivity tool that will enable them to accomplish their daily tasks with minimal fuss."

The 1.24-inch thin and 2.2-kilo notebook can hold up to 500 gigabytes of storage space for work, music, photos and other multimedia content, and has a battery life of up to 5.5 hours.
"With this new range of consumer notebooks, we want to provide something to suit every lifestyle needs and usage patterns for consumers," said Paul Donovan, vice president for category operation of HP Asia Pacific.
The HP Mini 2010 is currently priced at P24,490, while the HP G42 costs P37,990.
